Dry, brittle or damaged coat
The dry coat routine
Dryness is a moisture problem first and a protein problem second. Wash with a curative moisture shampoo, then follow with a treatment that actually penetrates rather than coating the surface.
Fine, flat or thin coat
The lack of volume routine
Flat coats are usually weighed down, not thin. A sulfate-free volume shampoo plus a weight-free conditioner builds body without the heavy film that drops it flat by evening.
Knots, matting and frizz
The tangles routine
Work anti-frizz hydration through the coat before you brush, never after — and always brush it out dry, before the bath. Water turns a tangle into a mat.
Dull, flat-looking colour
The dullness routine
Dullness is nearly always buildup. Clarify first to strip the residue, then brighten. Shine is a smooth cuticle reflecting light, so finish with a cold rinse.
Getting ready for the ring
The show preparation routine
Texture and hold on the day, protection in the weeks before. Build the coat first; a finishing spray cannot rescue one that has not been conditioned.
